The comparison can be made between The Egypt game and the culture of our society only loosely. The children are playing a game, and the world is not. In The Egypt Game there is a comraderie that ignores the differences of the others, including that of gender, race, religion, and age. The children do not have prejudicial views toward each other, and it offers them the chance to have a different perspective on the world and what is important. The adults in their lives, cannot do this and are unable to overcome their own conditioning.
