If you were the albino attacker, would you have shot Jacques as quickly? Why or why not?

If I were the albino attacker, I would not have shot Jacques immediately. The attacker mentions that he has already spoken to and, presumably killed others, trying to find out the same information. Since Jacques might have been the last living source of that information, I would not have been so quick to kill him, if I were the albino attacker.
