No, I do not feel that Sophie was justified in throwing the tracking dot out the window and helping Langdon escape. While Sophie's heart might be in the right place, I feel that running away will only cast more suspicion on both Langdon and Sophie. Thus, they run the risk of being imprisoned and unable to work on the case. If they cooperated, instead, they might be able to assist the police and solve the crime faster.
