Sophie's role so far seems to be to assist Langdon, but her reasons for doing so are complicated. First she left Langdon a warning message on her personal answering machine. Then, in the restroom, she told Langdon about the tracking dot in his pocket and told Langdon that he is the prime suspect in the murder.
