Chris is feeling all the same emotions of any teenager coming of age but he processes these emotions in a very different way. Chris has Asperger's Syndrome which means he tries to interpret emotions logically instead of the emotional intuition many "normal" people might poses. This makes an already confusing time even more stressful.
