How does the action in act 3 make a mockery of fairness/justice? (in the crucible) Thank you

sorry i'm no expert but danforth is a prime example of a mockery of fairness and justice. he is clearly biased, calling Abigail "child" whereas Elizabeth "women", also he seems to believe that abigail can do no wrong and automatically believes her when she makes accusations.

also, fear breeds corruption and causes people to lose all their rationality. people are constantly in fear of being accused and condemned, therefore they accuse others in order to draw the attention away from themselves.
