Who is Rerpf from The Colour of Magic and what is their importance?

As vice-guildmaster for the Guild of Merchants and Traders in Ankh-Morpork, Rerpf is in charge of tourism. He visits Broken Tavern in order to protect the Guild's interest in Twoflower's safety.
