What does Winter discover about her father when she takes her mother to visit him in prison?

When Winter takes her mother to visit Santiaga in prison, she discovers that her father has a mistress. A young Puerto Rican woman named Dulce Tristemente is there to visit him as well. Dulce has a baby boy, Ricky's son, and Winter is livid. Dulce and the baby are well dressed and look unaffected by Santiaga's imprisonment. Winter's mother is in denial as they leave.
