Who is Adam from The Christopher Killer: A Forensic Mystery and what is their importance?

Adam is new to Silverton and has difficulty making friends because he is quiet and withdrawn. Over time, rumors mark Adam as a Satan-worshipper because of his Goth appearance. Lyric convinces Cameryn to befriend Adam shortly before Rachel's murder, an event that leaves Adam distraught because he had a crush on her. Adam is also suspected of her murder because he has pictures of her and was the last to see her alive. Lyric, Adam and Cameryn visit Dr. Jewel to ask about Rachel's killer in hopes of clearing Adam of suspicion, but Sheriff Jacobs takes Adam to the station for questioning even though Dr. Jewel claims that Rachel is saying Adam did not murder her.
