Significance of Israel

Israel is a nation in the Middle East which is homeland to the Jewish people, promised to them by God. Israel is where much of the Bible, especially the New Testament, takes place. It was in Israel that Jesus Christ was born, ministered, taught, performed miracles, saved, and brought people to God. It was also in Israel where Jesus Christ was arrested, tortured, crucified, buried, and resurrected.
