Who is Viktor Illyich?

Viktor Illyich is the former leader of the Leningrad KGB. He is also Elizabeth’s friend. Viktor allows Elizabeth to fake his death so that she can avoid killing Joyce. While he is in hiding in Joyce’s apartment, Viktor helps the Thursday Murder Club by looking through the financials for the tax scheme.

Viktor helps out the club when he pretends to be a man named Yuri, one of Henrik’s associates. Yuri’s job is to compliment Andrew, put him at ease, and convince him to admit he killed Bethany.
