The Boy in the Black Suit
There were many different funerals in chapter 7, What is an image (description of smell, sight, taste, touch, and/or sound) from the funerals that was interesting and why?
.
.
The dreams of my mother sitting with me at her own funeral kept coming every night on schedule, and y’know, I started to look forward to them. It was like our time together for a few hours that felt only like a few minutes, making me happy to see her, but leaving me disappointed to wake up to an empty house in the morning.
I find this passage interesting because it notes the distinct and continuing connection between the narrator and his mother... what should be considered a bad dream is comforting.
