What gift does Frau Hermann give to Liesel after the stealing has stopped?

When Liesel decides to quit stealing from Frau Hermann, she writes a letter of apology. The letter is so moving, Frau Hermann comes to Liesel's home with a blank notebook and tells the girl that she has a real gift for writing. Liesel takes the notebook and writes in it furiously. The book she pens is entitled "The Book Thief".
