What does King Corlath look like, and what kind of mood is he in when the girls arrive at the residence?

The king towers over those he knows, including Charles, Jack, Richard, and Mr. Peterson, and wears a white, flowing robe that seems to make him more majestic. The King is clearly angry, and begins to move away, but Jack stops him by saying something in Corlath's own language.
