Who is Teal Eye in The Big Sky by A. B. Guthrie?

Teal Eye is the daughter of Heavy Otter, a Blackfoot chief. Stolen by the Crow tribe, Jourdonnais finds her and intends to return her to her people. Boone later takes Teal Eye as his squaw, at least until he discovers that she's had a child with one of his friends. Boone shoots the friend (Jim) and abandons Teal Eye.
