What steps does Frank take to retrieve his children after receiving a phone call from the Alexander Station?

Frank receives an early call from the Alexander Station informing him his children are being watched by the station master's wife. Frank promptly hails a sledge, being cautious to select a driver who has not been up all night drinking. Upon his arrival at the station he skillfully gains a station restaurant waitress's cooperation and learns the children have been taken to the residence of the station master. Frank finds the children there in the care of a hired kitchen-mother. Frank collects his children and departs.
