The business transaction Frank initially has with Kuriatin in Chapter 8 that now appears to be repeating itself in Chapter 12 has to do with Kuriatin making promises. In Chapter 8 he promised to deliver wood to repair Reid Press flooring. He did not without prodding. In Chapter 12 he has promised to locate a purchaser for The Mammoth that Frank wants to sell. But Kuriatin has failed to follow through once again.
