While Violet and Klaus are trying to think of a way to get out of the tower in Chapter 11 what things do they discuss but don't offer any help?

Klaus says that if they were polygamists then Count Olaf's plan wouldn't work. Violet says that if she had some kerosene then she could make some Molotov cocktails. The last thing they discuss is the option of breaking the bottles and using them as knives. They are afraid that they would easily be overpowered and that Count Olaf would have Sunny dropped to her death.
