What is described as the difference between the reasons that the Baudelaire children read the books and the reasons that lawyers read law books in Chapter 7?

The lawyers get a lot of money to pore through the books. The Baudelaire children aren't going to get any money. The reason that they have to go through the books is to keep Count Olaf from doing something horrible to them in order to get large sums of money.
