Describe the scene seen by the children at the beginning of Chapter 12 while they are standing back stage of the play.

The children still know what a dire situation they are in but they can't help but realize the work that has gone into the play in many respects. The children think that they could very much enjoy this if it weren't for the fact that they were taking part in the play the way they are forced to. There are people running around everywhere trying to get their jobs done.
