Mimi represents Mazna’s feelings of failure in her creative career. Mimi and Mazna are very similar. Both want to pursue the big stage, with Mimi wanting to be a part of a band and Mazna wanting to act. However, both of them fail to achieve these dreams. Both feel that they are not good enough and struggle to find a purpose outside of these pursuits. By the end of the novel, Mimi and Mazna are able to accept that their lives took a different turn than they expected and find new happiness in something else.
