The stage signifies Mazna, Mimi, and Naj’s dreams of making a name for themselves. All three of these characters perform on some kind of stage throughout their lives. Mazna acts when she is younger. Mimi creates his own band. Naj builds her performances with Jo. At the end of the novel, each one is able to reconnect through Naj’s performance, allowing the family to unite in their personal successes and support each other moving forward.
