China Iron is learning about how the world looks from different physical perspectives, by getting on the ground, turning herself upside down, and so on. She is learning about how the world looks from different social perspectives as well, by listening to and thinking about Liz's stories: she realizes that the Queen of England and an Argentine gaucho see the world in different ways, for instance.
