Why are the Chorus of Acharnians angry as they make their first appearance in The Acharnians?

The Acharnians are angry, because from their point of view, a fellow Athenian made a peace treaty with the enemy. Athens had been at war a long time, and such an act would be treasonous. In the war their farms and homes had been ruined. A pact of this nature would be most upsetting.
