What happens to the Chorus of Archanians when Diakaiopolis finishes his defense?

After the Chorus of Archanians listens to Diakaiopolis's defense they split in two. Half of them, the First Semichorus, are still angry and ready to stone Diakaiopolis to death, and the other half, the Second Semichorus, acknowledge that he is telling the truth. The two sides skirmish until the Second Semichours overpowers, and the First Semichorus calls out to Lamachus. Lamachus appears shortly after dressed in full battle gear with a few soldiers.
