How does Juniors's grandmother interpret the fact that Roger the Giant did not punch Junior back ? Would you say that she is right?

Grandmother interprets Roger the Giant's reaction as a sign of respect. Junior stuck up for himself..... he showed that he had gumption and a sense of honor. Roger respected that. As for the rest of the boys, they saw Junior punch their leader in the face.... something they'd never even consider. Thus, Roger's reaction will have a trickle down effect, and Junior will be left alone. In my opinion, Grandmother is right.
