Why are Tino and Theresa absent from school and what does Paul suggest to do to Henry?

Tino and Theresa are absent from school and Henry says that it's because their family business is under threat from the freezing temperatures. Henry says all the members of the family will be working all night to try to keep the tangerine trees from freezing. Paul suggests that they go to the farm after school and help.
