Who is Prentice Symmons in the story, Eve in Hollywood, from the collection, Table For Two?

Prentice is an aging and overweight former Hollywood star who has more or less been blacklisted from the industry because he no longer fits the physical archetype of the leading man. Prentice takes an immediate liking to Evelyn, whom he sees as having suffered from a similarly prejudiced series of events (i.e. her scar has prevented people from seeing her as beautiful), and begins socializing for the first time in years. By the conclusion of the novel, Prentice has even managed to leave the grounds of the hotel and expose major scandals in the broader Hollywood scene.
