The narrator described the church as a ninetteenth-century building with a facade of large sandy stones. It was called St. Christopher's. It had a stained glass window that had been replaced after the war. The neighborhood was a series of high-rise estates that had replaced the Victorian houses that were lost in the bombings during the war.
