When Cole meets with Haig, he does not have good things to say about Rossi. He calls her aggressive and makes it clear that she is always looking to advance her career. Though he never saw her do anything illegal, Haig insinuates that she would do anything to advance her career. Haig also appears to resent Rossi. When Cole asks him about the LeCederick Earle bust, Haig tells him that he was not there because Rossi went back without him. Haig feels that Rossi was trying to make the bust alone to promote herself. He refers to his former partner several times with derogatory language suggesting that he does like her as both a person and police officer.
