Where is Private Perry’s team put up for the night in the end of Chapter 5? Why does Jonesy come to visit Perry in the night?

When Perry’s team reaches the command post, they are set up in a private house. That night, Jonesy comes to Birdy’s room and asks him if he’s religious; Jonesy is carrying a Bible and wishes for someone to pray with because he fears dying.
