Who is Humans from Stranger in a Strange Land and what is their importance?

Humans live on planet Earth and have very different lives than the Martians. They struggle daily for survival, power, wealth and happiness. Humans also feel a broad range of emotions, grappling with sexual passions and desires being one example. Michael shows by his very existence that humans can do better and be better. This is his goal as the Archangel Michael.
