This question calls for your opinion. Landon was devastated by his discovery, his faith in Jekyll.... and even humanity was rocked to the core. The knowledge that his "friend" could be connected to such evil made him feel as if everything he'd believed was a lie. He gave up on life.... and he couldn't live with what he's learned.
