What happens to Richard, Warren, and Verna when he returns from the woods?

Richard returns to his room, he finds Sister Verna. She tries to remove his collar but can't. They suddenly realize that if the Sisters of the Dark are trying to kill Richard, then they will also try to kill the Prelate. When they reach the Prelate's room she has been attacked and they take the Prelate to Nathan. Richard and Sister Verna decide to get some sleep and head out at first light toward Aydindril. Richard goes to his room to pack his things and is attacked by Pasha. She tries to kill him, but Warren appears and kills Pasha.
