What does Kahlan find when she follows the trail of the army that slaughtered so many?

Kahlan finds the Galean army that was following those responsible for the massacre. Chandalen says they look good for boys about to go to die. Kahlan tells them to turn around but they refuse. She calls them children, but they tell her that if they leave the army alone, then they will continue to kill all in front of them.
