In Chapter 5, what does Margret see and what does Nathan say about it?

Margret sees a Mother Confessor being executed and a crowd cheering greatly. Nathan tells her that this must happen and the people must be happy over the Mother Confessor's death or else the world will fall into darkness. Nathan does not know why this is true.
