How will ecopoiesis work on Mars?

The ecopoiesis plan for Mars uses the time difference created by the Spin to allow a relatively quick evolution on Mars. After bombarding its surface with living seeds that will eventually create a biosphere, Earth would send volunteers to colonize the newly created environment and start a civilization of their own.
