How does Tyler and Diane escape from Condon's ranch?

A member of the sect irrupts in the room and brings him to the barn where he is required to help with the birth of a red calf. The process is painful and bloody, as both the heifer and the oversize calf die during the process. Tyler uses the confusion that ensues to escape in a car, along with Simon and Diane.
