Who is Kendra Brightly from Son of the Mob and what is their importance?

Kendra Bightly is the daughter of an FBI agent and a school reporter. When Kendra becomes involved with Vince, she has no idea about his family history, and when she learns about it..... it doesn't turn her away, she finds it romantic. Kendra sees their situation as a modern-day Romeo and Juliet. She believes in Vince, knowing that he is not like his father. When she later suspects Vince might be involved in illegal activities, she has nothing more to do with him.
