How does Persse end up in a karaoke bar?

Persse flies to Tokyo to look for Angelica based on a tip from Miss Maiden. He spends several days wandering the city, looking in every university, likely diplomatic office, and hotel for a conference where Angelica might be. Finding none, he resigns himself to going home and decides to treat himself to a nice dinner, which buoys his spirits somewhat. After dinner, as he walks back to his hotel, it begins to rain, and he ducks into the first bar he sees--and finds himself in the middle of karaoke.
