What does Ginny's mother allow Armpit to do and what comment does she make that surprises Armpit's mother?

As the time of the concert draws closer and X-Ray hasn't turned up, Ginny's mother allows Armpit to take her car. She comments to Armpit's surprised mother that she (Armpit's mom) must be proud of him.
