Who is Detectives Murdock and Salazar from Skin Tight and what is their importance?

Detectives Murdock and Salazar are a pair of objectionable and aggressive homicide detectives who violently dislike Mick Stranahan. They accept bribes from County Commissioner Roberto Pepsical, who is acting on behalf of Rudy Graveline. Their mission is to shoot Stranahan when they serve him with a warrant for the murder of his ex wife, Chloe Simpkins Stranahan. Stranahan's ingenious defense against their attack at Old Rhodes Key, leads them both to die in a "boating accident."
