Grotesque entertainment is another theme in the story. Chemo is employed as a bouncer at the Gay Bidet nightclub. As the owner manager Freddie points out to Dr. Graveline, he inherited the name, it rythmes and no it does not connote a gay bar. As Graveline observes, it stinks, and the music is atrocious. Bands such as "Cathy and the Catheters" routinely perform there along with a punk band called the "Chicken Chokers" who specialize in wringing out their sweaty jock straps into a cocktail glass and then guzzling it down on stage, and another band called the "Crotch Rockets" whose big hit is called "Lube-Job Lovers".
