Who is Thun from Silverthorn and what is their importance?

Thun is a group of creatures described to be much like earthly Minotaurs with crocodilian heads. As Pug travels through the tundra north of Kelewan in search of the Watchers, he encounters Thun. They tell him know that the Watchers really do exist, and that they are afraid of them.
