Describe the priests' journey to India.

In 1637 the three priests prepare to depart from Lisbon. During the journey, their ship is plagued with bad weather and disease. Their voyage takes longer than expected and the priests do not reach their destination until October. Once in the town of Macao, the three learn that the situation in Japan has escalated and no Portuguese ships are allowed to enter Japanese harbors.
