Who is Gotoma? What are Siddhartha’s thoughts on him?

Gotoma is a being who wanted to learn independently rather than by a prescribed teaching. Gotoma had reached enlightenment and indulged in the self more than the others. He also refused to harm himself or suffer like the Samanas. Siddhartha thought Gotoma was wise but a person seeking enlightenment must seek for the answers himself.
