Who is Ol' Vernon?

Vernon Chandler (Ol' Vern) is the corpuscule that comes to the party and chases Sierra in an attempt to find out Lucera’s location. He was one of Sierra's grandfather’s shadowshaper friends. Vernon's face is the first to be smudged in the picture.
