This non-fiction biography is written using journals, letters and first hand accounts from others and comes together with insights from various perspectives. For the most part, because of the extensive journals Jim Elliot wrote throughout his life, the author is privileged to portray the world through Jim Elliot's eyes. It offers insight into his personal struggles with the traditional methods of the modern church as they stand in contrast with New Testament practice. It's not because he doesn't like it, but because it is not scriptural and is thus ineffectual.
