Christian stows away in the van when the others mount a rescue attempt. They only allow Rose to go because with her psychic link to Lissa, she can tell them where Lissa is. However, when they arrive at the place where Lissa is being held, they tell her to stay behind. When she discovers that Christian is there, they both go to help with the efforts.
