who is vicky

Vicky is Adah and Francis's second child and their first son. He is born immediately before Adah travels to the U.K. to meet Francis and makes the journey by boat with her and Titi. After Adah leaves Vicky and Titi with the babysitter Trudy, Vicky comes down with meningitis and is hospitalized. He nearly dies and Adah is furious with both Trudy and Francis as a result.
